An outdoor swing music concert and dance open to public. The music is live and there is a dance lesson at the start. You can come just for the music or you can bust out your own dancing. All of our events are permitted through NYC Parks and Recreation. Events are subject to cancellation due to weather.

Music and Dance Lessons will be provided by DJ SHUFFLEPUCK. Expect some special vintage and modern 1940s Big Band Swing, 1950s Rhythm & Blues, Jump Blues, and much more all geared for the social dancer in you! This SEASON 2026 we are thrilled to announce that we are a SiOCF GRANTEE. We are honored to have been selected to receive support from the SW!NG OUT Community Fund in 2026. With this exceptional news, we will be hosting LIVE BANDS beginning on SUNDAY MAY 17th (rain date: MAY 31). Stay Tuned for more details! Central Park Swings is an afternoon of music. Featuring Live Music and/or DJ’ MUSIC that cater to Social Dancing. We play Swing, Jump Blues, Hot Jazz, Latin Cha Chas, and more, Our Sunday events are held at King Jagiello Plaza. This stunning plaza in the round overlooks Turtle Pond and Belvedere Castle.
